Owner, Tara Becker is originally from Columbus, Ohio. Graduating from Franklin University in Ohio in 2006 with a degree in Business Management. She is a single mom with 4 kiddos, whom you run into from time to time in the shop.
Libby Lou's is not her first go round. You may remember her from Pinkalicious Parties that was located in Grove City from 2009-2011. Libby Lou's was started out of her home in 2020 as a pivot to being laid off due to COVID. She was creating virtual birthday parties, drive by parties, candy bouquets and care packages that were being sent all over the country in 2020 & 2021.
In September of 2020 she opened her first storefront on Indianola Ave. The next five years were a lot of ups and downs trying to meet the demand.
Most recently in February 2025 she relocated to Bubbly Food Hall in New Albany Ohio.
